About the letter K in fancy fonts
K is made of a stem and two diagonal arms meeting in the middle, and those angles make it stand out in bold and gothic styles. Double-struck ๐ looks sharp and modern, while script ๐ฆ softens the arms into curves.

Where the letter K comes from
K comes from the Phoenician kaph, meaning "palm of the hand". It became Greek kappa. Latin rarely used K because C already covered the "k" sound, so for centuries it appeared in only a handful of words. English uses K much more because of Germanic and borrowed words, and it now also stands for "thousand" (from the Greek kilo), as in "10K followers".
How K behaves in different styles
K is a clean letter for styling. Every script, gothic and double-struck K is in the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, with no older substitutes.
Be careful with โช (Kelvin Sign, U+212A). It looks identical to a normal K in most fonts, but it's a separate character meant for temperatures. Some systems quietly convert it to a plain K, while others treat it as different, so a username containing it may not match when people search for it. Only copy K from the styles on this page, which are all real letter forms.
