How to paste into Instagram (30 seconds)
- 1
Style it here
Type your bio line, name or caption in the box above. Tap a card to copy — e.g. bold 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭.
- 2
Paste in the right field
Instagram → Edit profile → Bio / Name, or new Post → Caption. Long-press → Paste. Display Name allows most Unicode; @username allows only letters, numbers, dots, underscores.
- 3
Preview on Android + iPhone
Check your profile on both. If you see □, swap that line for bold, sans or monospace — they survive best.
Bio formula that stays readable
Bios have a 150-character limit. Use one styled line + plain facts:
𝒹𝓇ℯ𝒶𝓂ℯ𝓇 ♡ plant shop
Tue–Sun · Sydney
──➤ order below ↓
Why this works: the fancy word is short, contact info stays plain (searchable, screen-reader friendly), and the arrow is a high-compatibility symbol from Cool Symbols.
What breaks on Instagram
- Hashtags and @mentions in fancy Unicode are not clickable — keep #travel and @shop plain.
- Alt text and search index the plain version — put keywords (“florist Sydney”) in plain text.
- Heavily decorated frames (꧁ ★ ═) often collapse on older Android — use one heart/star max in names.
Instagram FAQs
Will Instagram ban fancy fonts?
No — they are plain Unicode characters, not a hack. But keep @handles plain and avoid impersonation or spam patterns that violate Instagram rules.
Why does my bio show boxes on a friend's phone?
Their OS lacks that block. Restyle that line in bold or sans and re-paste. Test with our Compatibility Checker.
Cursive or bold for a shop name?
Bold for shops — it scans at a glance. Reserve cursive (𝒮ℴ𝓅𝒽𝒾𝒶) for a personal nickname or single word, never a full address.
